Meet the Therapist

Leda Cox

Between 2003 and 2009 Leda raced as a professional cyclist in Italy, France, Holland, Belgium and America. During her cycling career she won over 32 races and was ranked British number one. She also represented Great Britain throughout her career at World Cup level and in major stage races. Leda's career saw her compete in the women's Giro D'Italia, Tour de France, Tour of Flanders, Fleche Wallonne and many more monuments of the sport.

During her off-season In 2005 she trained as a soft tissue therapist at St Mary's University in London and since then has treated a wide range of clients ranging from office workers and busy parents right through to sports men and women from beginners to elite.

Her cycling career came to an abrupt end in 2009 when involved in a bad cycling crash during a race in Canada. Unfortunately it was a career ending crash. During her rehabilitation from spinal surgery Leda decided to fully progress her skills and train as a Physiotherapist. She studied for a BSc in Physiotherapy at St George's University of London between 2012 and 2015.

During 2016 I worked for the West Herts NHS trust as a physiotherapist. Currently, I run my own private physiotherapy clinic in St Albans Hertfordshire during the week, as well as treating patients from home in the evening. I also work as part of British Triathlon's team of therapists who work with the Great Britain team at World and European Championships. In August 2017 I was the Team GB elite team physiotherapist for athletes at the ITU Multisport World Championships in Penticton, Canada, and in September 2015 I was GB team therapist for the ITU Duathlon World Championships in Adelaide, Australia. 2014 saw me working as a therapist with a number of teams competing in a range of sports at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
